Tulum Review: Where to Stay

Hey Everyone!! Its finally here... Complete Tulum Review!! Where to eat, stay and things to do will be shared over the next few days! Remember to check out my YouTube where you can see much more footage and the daily ins and out! Firstly I will be sharing where to stay below my tips and pointers and anything I picked up along my journey.

Where to stay:

Azulik Azulik was a beautiful eco friendly adult only haven. It was a truly restful and peaceful space full of good vibrations and all your aesthetic dreams. I recommend staying here for a maxium of 3 nights just because I feel this gives enough time to truly explore the property and enjoy the amenities without being annoyed of being in complete darkness at night time (yes, there was no electricity in the rooms guys). It is also one of those hotels that if you are not staying on the property they are a hit or miss with allowing outside guests in. Make sure to also visit the fashion boutique which is super cute and expensive haha and also whatever exhibition that is currently showing! I loved the friendly staff and the free morning yoga class in the beautiful dome. With that being said, It is definitely somewhere that I recommend to experience as!

Things to note:

  • Book further in advance or last minute to get better deals

  • Do not buy package with breakfast included. I would rate the breakfast here a 6/10. It was okay nothing special that you would be missing out from. The dinner restaurant was nothing special either so I recommend eating off the property

  • The resort is 1hr and 30mins from the nearest airport, so you will need to organize transportation in advance

  • They offer complimentary parking for property if you rent a car

  • Bring a travel friendly extension cord if you need multiple spaces for charging your devices

  • There are no showers in rooms except the moon villa and spa so you will bathe in a mosaic tub

  • All the water on the property is salt/fresh water so enjoy those salty baths

This was another great hotel that I will definitely be staying at again. From the food to service to aesthetics it was A1. Rates were kinda high when I stayed however I have seen it for more affordable the further out you plan and depending on the date. This hotel is at the end of the strip and near tons of great restaurants and has great amenities. I would definitely recommend this hotel as an all around winner.

Scenic Property

Things to Note:

  • The rooms are huge usually including a sitting area and dining table

  • Room includes the best speaker that is portable and waterproof

  • The robes here are soo amazing that I genuinely wanted to steal one

  • Best shower handsdown!! (Best shower the whole trip and it was the only regular water all trip)

  • The 2 restaurants on the property I highly rate, one is traditional mexican and the other is sushi(giving menu picks on what to eat in tulum coming soon)

  • This place is a picture friendly haven so have outfits on deck for endless pictures

This was the last hotel of my trip and was not planned on my itinerary but ended up being so amazing!! After having an Airbnb mishap we needed to find somewhere to stay for our last 3 days and my boyfriend found his new favorite spot in Mexico. The owner was a gem and helped us out a lot so shout out to her! It was more of a retreat like environment full of relaxtion especially for all of the yogis. They have daily fitness classes at a cost which I didn't get to join in on however I will the next time for sure! They have a daily breakfast which you can add on and I definitely would however this is good for the early riser as breakfast ends early! Overall I would recommend you staying here it was a really great hotel!

Things to Note:

  • I Recommend adding the breakfast to your package, possibly for a few days and not all so you can try out some spots like the real coconut haha but I'll get into that later!

  • If you do get breakfast I recommend the banana pancakes they are crazy good! (Side tip they are not on the menu but ask and you shall recieve

  • If you can afford it I suggest the penthouse room that had the most amazing view

  • If this is a trip you would like to workout or do yoga you can purchase a package which I think is worth it

  • Breakfast ends early so if you are not an early riser, set an alarm or don't get the breakfast package

  • The water here is like most hotels in Mexico fresh salt water so something to note

  • They have bicycles available on the property for rent

  • Parking is also available at the main property for all of their locations for their guests

Thank you all for checking out this post I hope it can help you with your next upcoming trip! These are all places I highly recommend and would definitely go back to! They are all central on the Tulum strip and everywhere can be reached on bikes and by car. Something to note about cars is there is very little parking along the trip so parking tends to be difficult. However airport transfer and taxis can be expensive so you can weigh that in your decision but renting a car is pretty affordable we paid around $130 for 7 days. Bicycles are super affordable on the strip. Some hotels may offer them free to guests some may for a small charge but definitely a great means of transportation. Vespa like bikes are also available for rent and something I would also recommend if you can ride one! All you need is your drivers license and that's about it! Tulum is definitely something to experience and I recommend traveling there. Everything is located along 1 long strip so everything is pretty close but not walking close (it is but that's a super long walk) so I recommend other means of transport. All in All this is a great place for solo, couple and group trips!! Everyone stay safe and book them tickets while they are cheap so you can take your trip when its all over!
