Where to Eat : Tulum Edit
Hey guys!!
So after cooking my 1000th meal I miss the days of eating out and taking my yummy flatlays. It is crazy how we took the simple things like eating out for granted but I have a newfound appreciation and with that being said I will continue to be grateful for all the little things and can’t wait to eat out and try so many new places!
Below I will be sharing all of the awesome restaurants I went to and share some of my favorite menu recommendations! I am super excited to share because my love for food is as strong as my love for fashion so I’m glad to be sharing! If you missed out on the vlog where you can see all these beautiful places for yourself I’ve linked Tulum Vlog here. Also if you need advice and tips on where to stay in tulum check it out!
The Real Coconut
So all jokes aside can you guys please open up one near wherever I am seriously!!! This was probably one of my favorite restaurants.. First off the food AMAZING!! The ambiance was great and location even better. This is a must visit in Tulum try and get a table outside so you get that ocean view. They are pretty casual so you can dress in your cute beach cover wear or a nice brunch look (no heeled shoes necessary because you gotta walk on sand to get here). Parking is a bit hard but if your lucky they may have parking available.
Recommendations:
The Buttermilk Pancakes (to die for!!)
Macho Pancakes (I ate this 2 days in a row)
Vitamin C shot
The Avacado Toast
Matcha latte (sweeten according to your own taste)
Raw Love
This was another banger that I loved for a quick afternoon bite! I ate here multiple times and enjoyed it everytime. This was a great healthy spot that I definitely recommend. Tip for Raw is to take cash!! They will accept USD and Pesos, no card! So something definitely to note. Parking here is also a mess street parking is hard to find so I suggest taking a taxi or getting here on bike/vespa!
Recommendations
Living pizza ( soo good)
Fresh coconut water
Matcha Green Tea latte 👑
Acai Berry Bowl
Berry Love Bowl
Avacado Toast
BAK
So I figured out this restaurant via someones insta story during the planning of my trip and the ambiance looked so good that it definitely made my of list food places to try. BAK defiantly is a vibe. Great ambiance, great food and I hear there is like a club/secret bar that you can also check out! I never made it there but if you do tell me how it is! This restaurant I definitely recommend and you can dress up for a night out after a cute dinner here. Parking is complimentary, they have a parking lot beside them and as long as they stamp your parking pass its free so make sure to ask before you leave.
Recommendations
Bak Oysters (they are a must)
Ask for the complimentary bread!!
Baked wild Salmon comes with salad ( Ask for the salmon medium-well or whatever temperature you like but specify is my advice!!)
Moroccan Tuna (specify temperature, Weirdly I like mine medium-well)
Golden Rock Shrimp
Meze
Meze,Meze,Meze!! I felt like I was off the coast of some island in Greece. This was truly an experience all in one. The ambiance was very relaxed and beach coast like but at the same time very put together. I suggest making a reservation it makes it super easy to just get seated however if you don’t have one its totally fine! The food blew me away.. It felt authentic and flavorful and honestly was great. You could taste that fresh olive oil and authentic flavors. I could not recommend here more and we also had the most amazing waiter so the service was great! I will be definitely be going back
Recommendations
Catch of the day (ours killed!!)
Mezes ( I did hummus, muhammara, taramas)
Lobster ( this was the largest serving I’ve ever gotten for lobster, so worth it!!)

Casa Malca
Breakfast resturant
So with most booking reservations for Casa Malca complimentary breakfast is included and with that you get a variety of options. There firstly is a breakfast bar where you can get the basics coffee, scones etc. There is a specific menu that they also have where you can choose from a variety of things and then anything else is a charge. We ordered the dollar pancakes and the omelette. Both were good and in terms of food on property it was pretty good best food on property in comparison to many other hotels but it is something that after a few days i could see myself getting tired of it. But good food for inclusive breakfast.
Lunch Resturant
This restaurant allows outside visitors and has the best food on the property. Their sushi and ceviche are amazing! Its on the beach front so scenic af and just overall great eats. I definitely recommend! Pretty casual as you can walk to the beach but still good for a lunch pop up also.
Recommendations:
Coconut seafood ceviche
Dragon roll ( I like mine with no asparagus)
Rock shrimp
Passionfruit Mojito
There was so many good things on this menu it was hard to choose. But theres are great ones to start with, I cant wait to explore that menu more for the next time !!
Dinner
The breakfast restaurant converts into dinner at night. The catch of the day was awesome and the drinks are also good! I definitely wish I tried more here!
Azulik
Cenote (Breakfast)
This is something that comes as an optional add on when booking. And I don’t think you should. Save the money and eat off the property so many great breakfast/brunch spots!! (The Real coconut) just sayingg.
But yeah save the money to eat off property and try it one morning if your lazy but honestly I would give here a 6/10. Its nothing special where if you don’t eat here you will miss out kinda feeling its not that. I found the menu to be intriguing but the food and the availability did not impress me. The food was not bad but for it to be a set $30+ per person set menu, I didn’t think it was worth it.
Tseen Ja (Dinner)
This was my first meal in tulum. Like actual sit down. This was my pre birthday Arrival Dinner.
Honestly, I had high expectations because the set up was amazing, ambiance was very cool, it was just tucked away and perfect. However, the food was not bad but it was a little high in price for what we received. The service was a little messy however the waiters were nice. I would say I give here like a 7/7.5 food was not amazing but it was good but I valued the experience more than anything which is nice to have. Would I go here multiple times no, but I would go back to try again. We ordered the chef tasting menu which we shared and a few side dishes. For the chefs menu you can pick for a small variety for each selection.
Tip to note: I would definitely bring cash for Tipping! When you tip on card they don’t get the full amount I learned so its something to note!
Thank you so much for checking this out and valuing my food opinions I promise I wont lead you a stray! Well I hope this will help you with your upcoming trips to Tulum when this quarantine is over and we can all move again! When do you think it will be??
See you guys soon, Stay safe
